Welcome to the web site of United North Piha Lifeguard Service, Northern Regions Surf Club of the Year 2008/2009 Our volunteer members patrol the 2.4km of beach known as North Piha each weekend from Labour Weekend until Easter to protect the lives of visitors to this wonderful wild west coast beach.
 

About United North Piha

North Piha Lifeguard Service has protected the lives of those who visit North Piha for over 50years. United North Piha Lifeguard Service was created in 1973 as the result of the amalgamation of North Piha Surf Club and Eastern United Surf Club from Browns Bay.

IRB DRIVER AWARD & IRB CREWPERSON AWARD

IRB DRIVER AWARD & IRB CREWPERSON AWARD

Any persons wishing to complete their IRB Driver and/or Crewperson Awards need to register your interest with Leif Neilson. Training will be fortnightly from Saturday the 29th of May. You need to be able to commit to completing the award this winter and attend all training sessions. This is a chance for you to upskill and help turn yourself into a key member of any patrol.

NOTE: Limited places available.

Prerequisites:

IRB DRIVER AWARD

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • A qualified refreshed surf lifeguard
  • Minimum of 6 months

IRB CREWPERSON AWARD

  • Minimum 14 years of age
  • A qualified refreshed surf lifeguard
